My Background
Ed has over 25 years of experience in commercial banking and finance, specializing in the small to medium-sized business sector with expertise in asset-based, SBA, and commercial lending.

He has developed a portfolio around entrepreneurship and his social investment interests. He applies his financial skills to build the capacity of social enterprises, charities, and small, underserved businesses. Ed has served as a mentor and advisor to various startups in both the US and UK and remains actively involved as an Angel Investor. He has been an active real estate investor primarily in single-family and multi-family housing for over 15 years.
In 2022, Ed's journey evolved to include significant roles in education, where he shares his knowledge with aspiring entrepreneurs at notable institutions such as the University of Houston and Prairie View A&M University.
Currently engaging in a three-year research project on entrepreneurship, Ed is passionate about contributing to this vibrant community through mentorship, investment, and education.

He and his wife are financial sponsors of the HCC Annual Business Plan Competition, where Ed also serves as an advisor. Additionally, he is an Advisory Board member for Undies for Everyone and a former Advisory Board member at the University of St. Thomas-Houston's McNair Center for Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise.
